A “Napoleon of horticulture”?

In the new Sherlock Holmes film “A Game of Shadows”, Holmes notices a gardening book next to Moriarty’s giant blackboard.  Moriarty a “Napoleon of horticulture”?  It may be that this thought rushes through Holmes’ brain.  He then sees the dried-up plants in Moriarty’s study and immediately realises that there are no green fingers at work.

But this absurdity sticks in his mind.  He later combines the facts and correctly deduces that this book could be the key to deciphering Moriarty’s coded notebook.  But stop: the case is not as easy as it looks, because this gardening book keeps secrets which are not mentioned in the film. …
